The Sleep

31 August 2026

Well, the scientists have explored it all, REM cycles, dream memory, biology,

psychology, but nobody of them can or want to explain for what sleep really is.

They told you, that sleep is for resting the body and to feel fresh the next day,

but is this true? Do you really believe that’s all about it?

Think a moment about it: why needs your consciousness every day sleep for

8 hours or like. We all view sleep as a matter of course and there starts the problem.

Sleep is the only thing that nobody can explain and therefore we have an

explanation for it that is ridiculous. Every day our body gets tired and is

longing for a bed to sleep. Then you disconnect from your body and enter

an unknown world, do your experiences over there and then after 8 hours

your consciousness comes back.

And what about your brain?

You move out of your waking state and then occurs pictures, sounds, feelings,

emotions… you walk around, you talk with people, you see towns, houses and

all that stuff and all this without to move one inch, because you are sleeping in

your bed. Your eyes are closed, it is silent in your sleeping-room and you see

and hear nevertheless all these things.

The scientists don’t want to tell you why sleep is needed every day. They have

studies but all of them are very unsatisfactory for the case you are someone

who also questions things from time to time. Sleep is not a biological occurrence.

Yes, your avatar in the matrix is still alive, but the player has stepped away

from the control panel. Nobody plays a game 24/7, there have to be a rest.
