Think about a video game… You have got a player, you have got
an avatar and of course you have a world map. It is as you would
start a video game.
And beside this you have got rules and limits (laws), you also have
got some enemies and allies.
Then, after the setup is clear, you have got your side quests, some
traps in this virtual world, you can also get rewards, sometimes a
level up or a restart and so on.
Now… just take away the screen and the controller in your hands…
and what is really the difference between this video game and your
existing here?
In the matrix your soul will be dropped into a body and this body is
your personal avatar. The world is the map, an open world game and
all what you can experience you can also experience in a video game.
You can become a millionaire or a beggar or the chief of a company,
a handyman, a seller or a baseball player or a farmer. There are so
many possibilities. Like in a video game.
As you see, it is basically the exact same setup.
Every video game delivers conflicts that has been built into it and
this on purpose. There has to be a variation of resistance in your
life in the game or otherwise there is no progress and no growth.
Okay, you hast have got one life - as it seems.
Take a look at the matrix… You see wars, corruption, cruelty, greed
and manipulation, forces that looks non-human or alien like, just to
produce anger, fear, addiction, confusion and more… All this belongs
also to an „open world video game“…
And if you lose your life… you will be respawned. Start from the beginning
again… maybe you are better next time. Maybe you can remember your
last respawn or maybe not. Maybe you make your dumb choices
again or maybe you have learned from your last incarnation.
You must know.. that sounds really a lot like this place, isn’t it? And
since the truth of reincarnation exists in almost every ancient culture,
it also sounds like we return to play this specific game again and again
and once more.
So, when a game programmer programs a video game… he is not copying
something new, but something that already exists. Maybe the reason our
games look like little worlds with avatars, rules, enemies, quests, and
resets is because the structure already exists inside of us and outside
of us. Maybe we build video games because we're already in one that's
so vast, so complex, and so tragically brilliant that we don't even
realize it until we do.
