You are already dead

18 February 2026

All alternative realities already exist.

All the realities surrounding you, whether your personal cluster of realities

or even more distant ones, already exist. Each of these realities has its own

history, past, present, and future. They are already fully present, yet each

is infinite in itself, and all unfold simultaneously.

The only difference is that you decide which reality you enter. As soon as

you enter a reality, you download all the data available for that reality:

your childhood, school days, university studies, job, friends, boss, partner

— everything. Once you enter a reality, everything is already prepared and

ready for download.

Therefore, if all realities already exist and the only crucial factor is which

one you enter, then this can only mean that each individual reality represents

a memory. And if each of these countless realities represents an infinite number

of memories, then your everyday life is also a memory, a dream, a simulation.

That's why you're already dead.

I know this is hard to imagine because you might think that the world you're living

in right now feels very present, but even what you call the immediate present is

a simulated present. Your true present isn't here. You're not here. You've

projected yourself into this matrix, like a hologram, if you will.

The body you inhabit is a disguise, a tool that allows you to move around in the

matrix. You can then touch everything in the matrix, have experiences. Even

the thousands of hairs on your arms, your neck, your genitals—everything is

geared toward sensitivity. That's how you can experience and feel everything.

Your true body, however, is structured differently. It is not made of simulated

flesh and blood, of simulated physicality, but is energetic in nature. Well,

actually, everything is a hologram and energetic in nature, electromagnetic

fields that simulate touch. Although no object has ever touched another, it is

still possible to perceive touch. A very special feature of the Matrix.

All your memories of your life that you can access right now are in a constant

flow of downloads (or uploads—it depends on your perspective). For example,

your memories of your school days. Are you absolutely certain that you

actually experienced them? How can you prove to yourself in a simulation that

all of this happened? How often have you modified these memories without

realizing it? How often have your parents told you memories that you can't recall

at all?

The memories you now have access to are often not even yours.
