Next, it's important to understand that you possess an energetic focus. This focus is a concentration
of your attention as a creative being.
Your focus is therefore the center of your immediate and present awareness, a bundling of energy
strands. The focus centers your cognition on a specific point, empowering you to perceive a particular
present moment.
All realities that you can imagine exist, and within each one resides a part of yourself. Imagine
these selves as millions of eyes capable of looking into all realities, like the compound eye of a
dragonfly. The compound eye consists of dozens of eyes, each looking into a different reality
from its own unique perspective. Just as each facet is slightly offset from the next, so too are
the realities that exist around you. You shift from one reality to the next, perceiving from that
perspective.
The entire multifaceted eye, with all its facets, is the totality of your self, a fusion of all selves.
When you entered the Matrix, all these selves were scattered, distributed across countless realities.
The wholeness of your self thus spread throughout all these realities, establishing a self in each, of
which you are, at this moment, only one.
Focus, on the other hand, is the point that can transport you from one self to another. This process
of shifting focus is managed and carried out by your wholeness of self. This happens because you,
as an individual self, are not yet capable of performing this process on your own. Just as a child is
not yet able to drive a car or fly an airplane independently. It must first learn.
The lesson here is to eventually learn to take over focus and shift it independently from one self
to another. That is the art of shifting focus.
This is the art of shifting focus.
Until you've mastered this art, you're dependent on the grace and skill of your whole self.
So, as soon as your focus shifts, you land in one reality or another. The first cluster of reality, the
primary one, grants access to several adjacent realities. They lie so close together that you barely
register these minimal shifts in focus.
But even if your focus were to shift more significantly, you would simply forget your current reality,
with all your friends, your home, and all the elements of your present, and instantly absorb the
new data of the new reality. Even then, you would hardly notice it, as you would have difficulty
transferring your memories from the old reality to the new one.
The problem is the amnesia that prevails in the Matrix due to its inherent frequency.
Every shift in focus results in amnesia.
And so that you're not surprised when you move from one reality to another, an upload is
immediately activated after the shift, containing the local memories of the newly entered reality
and uploading them into your consciousness.
This makes it almost impossible to notice the shift in your consciousness from one reality to
another.
